Starting Pip Eats
Pip Eats is fresh, nutritionally balanced dog food made from real Australian meat and vegetables.
Our meals are formulated by a board-certified Veterinary Nutritionist and prepared in small batches in our commercial kitchen on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
Each recipe uses whole ingredients you would recognise in your own kitchen — no rendered meat meals, no fillers, and no artificial preservatives, just carefully selected functional ingredients hand chosen by our Veterinary Nutritionist and ordered fresh from local producers by us each week.
Pip Eats meals are different because they are:
• Veterinary nutritionist formulated to AAFCO standards
• Made from restaurant-quality ingredients including named cuts of meat
• Small-batch prepared in our Sydney kitchen
• Single-protein recipes (including novel proteins like emu)
• Flexible to serve raw or lightly cooked
• Heart-shaped patties for simple portioning with individual ingredients you can see
• Packaged in eco-friendly home compostable boxes
Most importantly, our food looks and smells like real food — because it is.
Yes. All Pip Eats recipes are formulated to meet or exceed AAFCO nutritional standards for complete and balanced dog food.
This means your dog receives all essential nutrients required for optimal health from puppy to adult to senior.
Pip Eats meals are made from fresh ingredients and snap frozen to preserve nutrients.
They can be served thawed as a raw meal or gently cooked if you prefer.
Yes. Pip Eats meals are prepared in our licensed commercial kitchen following strict food safety standards audited and approved by NSW Health.
Patties are snap frozen immediately after preparation to maintain freshness and safety.
Fresh food contains whole ingredients and fewer processed components than traditional kibble.
Feeding amounts depend on your dog’s:
• Weight
• Age
• Activity level
• Metabolism
Our patties are 90g each, making portioning easy.
Most small dogs eat 1–3 patties per day.
Many customers also use Pip Eats as a topper. Research suggests dogs can benefit from as little as 20% fresh food in their diet, supporting gut health and overall wellbeing.
We recommend transitioning gradually over 7–10 days.
Start by mixing a small amount of Pip Eats with your dog’s current food and increase the fresh portion gradually.
Yes. Pip Eats meals are very flexible.
You can:
• serve thawed as a raw meal
• gently warm in a pan
• cook in the air fryer like a burger patty
Some customers prefer cooking the patties slightly for fussy eaters. Judy from Sydney says "Our doggies have sensitive stomachs and our girl is fussy. I haven't seen them eat their dinner so fast. The ingredients are awesome and serving size is perfect for them (Jack Russell's - 1 heart each). This has been a game changer for us from cooking their meals each week, to now just heating up Pip Eats knowing they're also getting the nutrients they deserve, we are happy with and that our babies love it”.
Many picky dogs prefer fresh food because it looks and smells like real food.
Across our customer reviews, owners often mention previously fussy dogs licking their bowls clean and finishing meals enthusiastically.
For example, Sarah, owner of Isla the Cavoodle, said she had been “losing hope in finding food my dog wouldn’t turn her nose up at” before trying Pip Eats. Now Isla clears the bowl every time and even waits beside the stove while it’s cooking.
If your dog is hesitant, try lightly warming the patties to enhance the aroma or adding Pip Pets Bone Broth as a nutritious gravy.
Yes. Pip Eats is designed to be flexible as:
• A complete fresh diet
• A topper for kibble
• Part of a mixed feeding routine
